OneHSN Enhances Childcare Connect™ with a New Contract Management and Reporting Module – Copy

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, December 19, 2024 — One Human Service Network (OneHSN) is excited to announce the launch of its Contract Management and Reporting Module, a transformative addition to the Childcare Connect™ platform. Designed in partnership with the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) and Parry Sound District Social Services Administration Board (DPSSSAB), this innovative module simplifies child care contract and funding management paired with robust reporting, addressing longstanding challenges in administrative processes associated with data collection, reporting and analysis.

The new module offers a powerful yet user-friendly solution that streamlines key functions such as budget management, enrollment, centre capacity, wage subsidy and staffing related funding, reconciliation, and other compliance reporting. By reducing administrative burdens, it enables child care Providers to focus on delivering high-quality care while equipping Service System Managers with the data and tools they need for effective oversight and fiscal accountability.

Delivering Results and Supporting Transition to New Policies
Launched through a pilot program with the DNSSAB in July 2024, the Contract Management and Reporting Module has already begun gathering essential data to support 2024 reporting. This strategic implementation prepares DNSSAB and DPSSSAB for the seamless adoption of Ontario’s cost-based funding formula, set to take effect on January 1, 2025. The module simplifies the complexities of the new funding model, ensuring processes remain efficient, transparent, and aligned with provincial policies and local priorities.

This advancement directly supports Ontario’s $10-a-day child care commitment under the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system. By enabling streamlined reporting and transparency on the efficient use of resources, the module helps pave the way for affordable, accessible, and high-quality child care for families across the province. Rapidly adapting the solution for the new child care funding formula demonstrates both the power of partnership and the flexibility of the OneHSN Childcare ConnectTM platform to respond to changes under CWELCC as the sector continues to transform in Ontario and across the nation.

Innovation through Collaboration
“The successful launch of this module reflects our dedication to innovation and collaboration,” said Kathryn O’Hagan-Todd, Vice-President, Customer Success at OneHSN. “By working closely with the leadership and staff teams in the Districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound, we’ve developed a digital solution that simplifies reporting, meets oversight requirements, and reduces administrative workloads for child care Providers and Service Managers. The expertise and insights of our partners have been instrumental in ensuring the module’s successful roll-out and scalability.”

The Contract Management and Reporting Module is a key component of the OneHSN Childcare Connect™ platform, which provides a comprehensive suite of tools including waitlist management, fee subsidy administration, special needs referrals, enrollment tracking, and parent communication features. Together, these elements form an end-to-end solution that supports the entire child care ecosystem, ensuring cohesive operations and data-driven decision-making.

A Commitment to Excellence in Child Care
OneHSN’s continued commitment to driving digital transformation in the child care sector aligns with its vision of reducing administrative complexities while enhancing the quality and accessibility of services. This latest enhancement reflects the company’s broader mission to provide reliable, real-time data and actionable insights, empowering organizations to achieve their goals and deliver better outcomes for families and communities.

The partnership with the Districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound demonstrates the potential for meaningful innovation through collaboration and serves as a model for other regions looking to modernize their child care systems and address similar challenges with service system management and fiscal responsibilities.
